  1. I voted for Allison. Morgan is my 2nd favorite from your list. Suggestions: Alysa! Or how about Ellie or Emily or Ellen? Whatever you decide, I’m in love with her already!

  2. Congratulations Marisa & Dave! Waiting for the arrival of our little girl. I have a name in mind. It’s Shannon. Have a nice Christmas and hope to see you soon. Regards to your mom and family.

    Love,
    Deborah

  3. What a great idea! I love all the names. I voted for Carly because it sounded best in combination with your family name Stryker 🙂

If you are looking for a middle name, may I suggest Aylin? It is a Turkish name and has 3 letters common with Carly 😉

Enjoy the fun with name selection. Your daughter will love it when she hears the story behind her name 🙂

    Cheers!

    Rengin 🙂

  4. Very cool idea to get input and ideas from others. I really like your last name and for some reason, the name Sarah Stryker and/or Samatha Stryker rolls nicely off the tongue. Just my opinion….! Enjoy the process and the pregnancy – as you know – it goes by way too fast!

  5. I like all the names you picked. Another suggestion – the names I would have been choosing between if I had another girl – Emma or Emily. They both sound good with Stryker, too!

  6. For soem reason Morgan jumped out at me when i read the list. Little did i know that everyone else really like it also. Very cute idea, having fun picking- Susan

  7. Carly, This was the name that Ron and I selected if we had a girl! So, since we had a boy, someone needs to use it! It’s just a groovy name!

  8. You’ve stacked the deck for “Morgan” since some of the other names have similar sounds in them, making “Morgan” jump out.

That said, I also vote for Morgan. Two syllables, not overly girly, and it comes from Welsh where it is a surname and translates to “sea’s edge,” a nice mellifluous image.

If you want some more distinctive names, though, I can think of a few possibilities: Ursula, Andromeda, Ivvana, Hookachoo . . .

  9. I have said all along Noralyn would be a nice tribute to both Grandmothers’. I was told point blank, no way..I tried Nora. My next choice was Carly..Morgan Stryker sounds to me, like a brokerage firm. Allison would become Ally, I kind of like Samantha. Having said all that, no matter what her name turns out to be, I can’t wait to meet her, and love her, and finally her Mom will understand, what having a daughter is like….

  10. Starting the countdown to meet little Miss Stryker! Can’t wait! Point blank, no way to Noralyn, huh? Nice try, Grammy. O:) I think they may even surprise us with a name that is not even on the list!!! Maybe this whole poll is just a tease!

Dave & Marisa, Have I told you that I taught a Kaitlyn Stryker (from Edison) when I was teaching nursery school? I can’t get her out of my head now!
