The Inauguration in 3D

CNN and Microsoft have teamed up and put together an interactive 3D photo gallery of the inauguration called The Moment. It is created from hundreds of photos submitted by people who attended the inauguration and a program from Microsoft called Photosynth. Photosynth merges the photos together using points of reference within the photo and then lets you view them interactively in a 3D environment. Pretty cool even though you need to be running Windows and will need to install the SilverLight plugin (a quick download). Check it out at  Heres a preview:

I Am Proud

To paraphrase Michelle Obama’s controversial quote, “Today I am proud of my country”. I am proud, not just because we have elected the first black president and put the prejudices of just a generation ago behind us. I am proud of the American voter that questioned the lies and fear tactics of the far right. I am proud because we have elected a true leader, the likes of which we haven’t seen since Kennedy, a leader who will restore America’s reputation in the court of world opinion. I am proud to be an American.

The Constitution states ” We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union…” Yesterdays election made this union more perfect.

Yes we can!
